 Meet Our Pastor

/files/Pictures/web pastor.jpgPastor Bayo Adeyokunnu was born in the western part of Nigeria and pior to being called into lifetime of service for Christ; he obtained a degree in English Studies from the University of Ife. Pastor Bayo committed his life to Christ at college and began his service in the ministry by serving as Vice-President of the Student Christian Movement on the campus.

With a mandate upon his life, Pastor Bayo eventually became more involved with the work of God when he was commissioned in 1989 to assist in pastoring a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria. In 1992 he pastored The Redeemed Christian Church of God Living Spring parish Awolowo Road, Ikoyi. In 1993 Pastor Bayo migrated to the Tallahassee, Florida, to pastor a church with Pastor Obed, not long thereafter, the Lord led him to Maryland where he started Victory Temple in 1996.

 

Pastor Bayo as he is fondly called started Victory Temple with barely 50 members but today, the ministry has grown to over 2000 members. Through his pastoral care and leadership, several parishes have been planted in maryland, Delaware, South and North carolina and India. His ministry has drawn many to the lord and future leaders have emerged. 

 

 A man consumed with the zeal of God, an erudite teacher of the word and a dynamic preacher, Pastor Bayo continually enjoys going the extra mile for the Lord and this passion and zeal for God has been transferred to his congregation.

 

An instrument in the hands of the Lord, Pastor Bayo continues to do exploit for the Lord, when he started the first RCCG Bible College and Seminary. As a Zonal Coordinator and a member of RCCG Board of Coordinators, he sure does wear many hats. He is also a prolific writer; who has authored three books, “The Christian as an Eagle”, “Marriage in Spirit and in Truth” which was co-authored with his wife, and “The Anointing of a Thousand Times”.

 

Pastor Bayo’s vision is to raise leaders who will be of positive influence to his generation  in the society and to reach the unreachable. He is married to a humble and wonderful woman, Pastor Margaret and they are blessed with three children, Dotun Dami and Bukola.
